    i m an GSM engineer and i want to know about the whole function of cdu, tru, dxu-21 and also the block diagram of ericsson bts rbs 2206.
    i want to know abt the internal block diagram of the same rbs, and how its work. please tell me abt these, for this i am facing lots of problems.
    i have very less experience in the bts and i have interest in this.

    MAIO is a parameter only used for frequency hopping. It allows synchronized cells (usually cells within same BTS) to avoid using co-channel or adjacent-channel frequencies on the same timeslot.

    Absolutely no problem about using cells from different BSC within the same Location Area.

    Negative points : It slows down the handovers a bit and prevent from using specific traffic-related handovers though, but it is not critical.

    Positive points : in case a BSC crashes, it doesn’t impact the full area.
