Dialer Leasing Services- Good Idea?

I was just wondering if anyone in the market has any thoughts on the market for dialer lease/rental?
Everyone knows that the capital costs associated with starting a call center is one of the largest barriers for entry into the market. Lately, many of my peers in the market have considered this leasing option for high quality dialers and the associated software. Has anyone else tried this approach? Did you find it to be cost effective? Was the monthly price paid low enough to justify not purchasing at the beginning? What was the integration cycle like? Were there any issues with backend software compatibility?
I would be interested to hear about both successes and failures.
