18th November 2005 at 23:51 #42931alexanderGuesthi, mukul chainani . I don’t know exactly how much power BTS consume since I’m BSC engineer, but I have some info about Nokia BTS power consumption… There is some correlation between number of calls on TRX and power consumption, but it’s not too high. I know 100% that if you reduce output power of TRX 10dB from BSC than UltraSite power consumption reduced about 40%. If you block site from BSC than UltraSite consume about 50% from it’s original power…

in idle conditions the NOKIA INDOOR BTS consume 30amps current
and this rise according to the traffic
more no. of calls more amount of current it will draw.regards

thanks for ur reply
what is the function of BB2A in Ultrasite edge& what is the power consumption of BTS having the configuaration 4+4+4 and power consumption of each TSGA.and also the
NOKIA Ultrasite AND intratalk DE34 BTS sensitivity?23rd November 2005 at 05:45 #42937shalenn srivastavaGuesthi james
the BB2F card that is used in ultra site edge BTS define the status of the TSGB cards
as it glowsgreen then that means the card are functioning faithfullyand the other ans. are not known to me
respond u further as i get the ans.regards
23rd November 2005 at 16:31 #42938PatrickGuestNOKIA recommends to calibrat the circuit breaker 50A. (220V, 9kVA or more)
BB2A is the same like BB2E or BB2F but it doesn’t EDGE.
When Nokia say capacity max with 12TRX, you have also 6 BB2x card, 3 DVx, … included.

why we use a negative power supply for nokia bts, how can we clculate the power consumption of BTS.
HOW CAN WE CONVERT dbm to watt and viceversa.24th February 2006 at 19:33 #42941RF LearnerGuestHi
1 watt = 30dBm
just add 3dBm if the power is doubled i.e
2 watt = 30 +3 = 33dBm
4 watt = 33 +3 = 36 dBm so on.formula
P(dBm) = 10 log(w/10e-3)
take anti log of dBm, the result will b in watts.
Thanks
