Trunks needed

    Hi I was hoping someone could help me with on how many trunks I need to add.

    I have a call center that wants to move. The call center gets 300-350 calls a hour or 2600 per day.

    I wanted to know how many trunks I would need.

    Here is the information I received:

    300-350 calls/ hour (busiest hour)
    2,600 calls/day
    65,000 calls/month
    1 million calls annually.
    call length is 24 seconds.

    Please help if you can. Also if have time to explain how you arrived at you numbers I would greatly appreciate it thank you.

    I came across your question and hopefully my answer will help?
    Based upon the information that you provided I ve place some figures down below:
    Grade of Service .1= 36 trunks
    Grade of Service .2= 33 trunks
    Grade of service .3= 32 trunks
    Grade of service is the blockage precentage that your company set with your carrier. When trying to figure out how many T1’s you might need you will need to know correct grade of service.
