I am looking for a gateway that shall map every E1 (or T1) time-slot onto an RTP stream and vice-versa. i.e. E1 -> Gateway -> Ethernet / Ethernet -> Gateway -> E1. I do not want call signaling as this shall be constant open streams. The Gateway should be able to handle 60 concurrent streams (each of 64kbs of course).
1. 60 streams (future – 80)
Yes. Bidirectional.
2. Yes – G.711. Should it matter? since the E1 is going to carry it and so is the RTP, the conversion need not consider the codec.?
3. Physical interface: a 100baseT, two E1 ports (3 in the future).
1. “Yes – G.711. Should it matter? ”
If you are looking for a standard /established product based on the market leadership / presence – I am not keen.
I am keen in developing the boards which go in a 19″ rack or a box.
If you need few, sat 5 / 10 boards my costs will get covered.
If I need just a couple of boards, I will put adequate processing power to handle more channels on the available bandwidth to have more life and market potential for my designs.
