I have a question on the Ericsson webswitch 100 G4 or P4.
The setup I have now is a Merlin Magix PBX in our main building. We have another building about a mile away with a network connection using the Cisco Aironet wireless bridges.
What I would like to do is use the regular phones that we use in the main facility and have them act as an extension of the PBX. I have been told I can do this using the Multitech equipment but I really don’t want to spend that much money on something we may not like.
The G4 version of the Ericsson is the one that could be connected to the phone lines.
It is a FXO device, one will take battery from a external source.
There is another version that is the FXS, the one that could be connected to the phone.
With a FXO device on one end and a FXS on the other, you could extend existing phone lines.
The quality of the ericsson is excellent, and you only need about 30 minutes to setup a link
