I have a Cisco 7940 configured for SIP with FWD, Cisco 1700 series router with an FXO card and would like to receive and make calls on my “normal phone line” PSTN with the IP phone. What do I need to do to make this happen? Is it just configuring the router and 7940 or do I need some type of PBX software? I am new to this and need some assistance. I am not looking for voicemail at this time so I don’t think that I would need the PBX setup.
Please help.
