    Open ports for A800
    Guest

    Hello,

I would like to know what ports should be open when an A800 is working behind router and NAT with private IP address.

    Thank you.

1720 and 1719 to start with.

    1812 and 1813 for radius.

Plus many others ,I am sure, for voice and other messages.

    Hi Mike,

There are a whole range of ports that should be opened for Quintum’s to work behind firewalls and NAT devices.

The ports depend on what services you have enabled on the Quintum. CDR server requires additional ports (9001 or 9002), GateKeeper requires others, PacketSaver others and so on. It also depends on the version of the OS you are running, later updates of the Quintum system software require different ports to the earlier 3x releases.

There is an official Quintum document that lists the ports, if you send me an email request I’ll forward the PDF document to you by return.

    Hope this helps.

    Mat.

    Hi there!

I just got two Quintum gateways an A400 and an A800.
I have never worked with Quintum and I am having a hard time to put those guys to talk.

Here is what I want to do:
A400 FXO talk to A800 FXO
A400 FXO talk to A800 FXS
A400 FSX talk to A800 FSX

A800 FXO talk to A400 FXO
A800 FXO talk to A400 FXS
A800 FSX talk to A400 FSX

A400 – Private IP (DSL connection) – USA
    A800 – Public IP – Brazil

So, could someone please send me the config to those quintum? Thanks.

    Take care,

    Jonas

The best way to get this to work is to use the DMZ option on your router. This forwards all incoming packets to the wan port to the assigned internal address on the LAN side. If you have any questions let me know.
