    Hi,

I need some info on how to delete the first 4 digits of the called number in Quintum.
The calls are coming on a PSTN trunk group and going out to the VoIP. The final destination is on the VoIP network. I need to reduce the called number digits to 7 after a match is made in the border elements table. The reason is that the gateway on the other end can only take a maximum of 8 digits in the matching pattern.
    Any help is greatly appreciated.

    Thanks

To what I understand, the originating gateway converts the call to an international calling standard, then the receiving gateway will remove numbers and replace as needed. That feature is called LAM pattern in Quintum.

    Good Luck.

on receiving gateway, under config# type “iptg”, you can add and strip digit you want.
