If you or your company is interested in Softswitch technology we can help. My company provides training, installation, and provisioning of Cisco’s SC2200 Softswitch Solutionfor both National and International locations. This solution can be implemented with dial up customers or Voice Over X technologies. By switching from PRI’s to IMT’s you can greatly reduce your financial overhead.

    Hi James,

My understanding is SC2200 is not a softswitch, it’s just a SS7 Signaling Gateway. It terminates SS7 MTP 1 and 2 through the SLT, carries MTP 3 over IP, and convert the signal to extended Q.931 to tell the AS5300 to receive the call in a particular IMT trunk.

    rgds,
    Arief
