    Hi All
    Can anybody tell me what is the imapct of GPRS-EDGE on RF network Planning of GSM.

    It depends of C/Ic relation. Worser C/Ic is, worser is data transmission on Um interface.
    For EDGE, it is recomended to have C/Ic >= 21.
    So, you need a good RF planning, with almost no interference.

    Hi Jernej
    If an operator wants to offer higher data rates all over its network, it would have to move to a looser reuse than what we use in GSM(say 4/12).On the other side, the use information retransmission procedures allows GPRS to support tighter reuses (say 1/3).
    Can u pl let me know which case is to be used?Correct me if i m wrong….
