GuestIn ericsson, all the signalling(BCCH, SDCCH, PAGING, FACCH, SACCH) go through separate timeslots on the abis. That is why concentration is done. In that sense, it would be incorrect to assume that each TRX uses 2 abis timeslots.
In my network, each site is typically 4/4/4. We have 2 EDGE timeslots per cell,2 SDCCHs per cell and a CONFACTOR of 4. Yet we use only one E1 per site.
Per NJ’s calculation, this would be impossible.

GuestHi all,
From the begining, I said it is a simple calculation, it depends on your Abis ressources but for us 2EDGE TS/cell aren’t enough and Confact 4 have more risk of Signaling congestion.

Guesthi nj,
this calculation is for E///?? can you tell me what value can we take for ZTE system?nj
GuestHi RNA,
I don’t know for ZTE, please ask Pix,

Guesthi rna,
i don’t know e/// nor zte. However, the computations we did are widely applicatble to any EGPRS system.
I would use the approach from NJ, which is simpler and will work every where.Sheldon is using some specific e/// features I guess, which gives a more aggressive usage of abis resources.

GuestHey Sheldon are you using flexible Abis for your E-network are you doing this with static configutation.
SHELDON
GuestWe’re using a static abis configuration. We’re not using any special abis feature.

GuestHi in below calculation, what is Confact & why we have considered only 12 TSL for EDGE

Guesthi all,
i have question for this, i think
my config abis already true,i have 4/4/4 config, 2 SD each sectors, and 1 bcch, confact 2,
numreqegprs 4 each sectors,
but still alarm “INSUFFICIENT EGPRS”then i check on rrgsp:scgr=tg;
the result is no defined scgr,
and i check on rxapp,
the dcp for 64K is “NO” for all dcp, there are no dcp with 64K “YES”,is this the cause of alarm?
how i can config 64K to yes?thank you
