I’m studing the sdcch_radio_fail (c1003 NSN)causes and it seems that SABM message aren´t recieved at the BTS.
The sdcch_radio_fail(c1003 NSN) are not incremented by the T3101 so, Does any one know how many SABM retransmissions the MS attemps?? How much time the BTS waits for the SABM before sending the Connection failure to the BTS??

This counters increment when there is a RLT timeout on a SDCCH Transaction.

Higher the T200,higher will be the SDCCH Holding time.

I’ve made a test in a complete BSC. Results:
1. A 30% of Sdcch_radio_fail reduction (less Denied)
2. A 50% of tch_abis_fail increment (more Drop call)
What we’ve seen is that you are moving the problem from the sdcch to the TCH assignment procedure.

Plz check if tch_abis fail is occuring due to T3109 expiry as tch drop due to T3109 expiry is not a user perceived drop.

I have observed decrase in sdcch drop in cell level after incraseing the RLT.
Can anyone explain me?
