GPRS in Common BCCH

    Hi all,

    Our network comfiguration is Nokia 2G common BCCH with BCCH on 900 and TCH on 1800. I want to disable GPRS/EDGE on the CBCCH 900 band and activate it on 1800 band. That has been done but the MS is not connecting.
    Is there any special parameter which has to be modified?

    Why do you want to put GPRS/EDGE on 1800 Band in a Multiband single BCCH network?
    GPRS/EDGE should be in BCCH TRX.

    Hi,
    It cannot be configured in the way u say. GPRS can only be configured in BCCH carrier.

    While configuring didnt your system ask to configure in bcch trx? In Ericsson it does i hope.

    Hi… With motorola divice… I can not setup GPRS/EDGE in DSC Band with Single BCCH???

    i Knight..u can try with this CMD .ZEQV:BTS=BTS NO:BFG=2;This will only shift the GPRS time slot to non bcch trx.
