    Dear guys

I need your help, on one Alcatel site SDCCH congestion growing up every hour which serving to the country border.
But TCH traffic is very low. It happens only in the daytime not in night time.
Is it possible the other SIM users want to attach for roaming or what…???

I don’t know exact cause of the problem. The site doesn’t have any alarm.

There are probably many subscribers crossing the borders during the day (for work ?). Their MS will attach to your network (with a Location Update).

You can check this by executing the report called :

    Mono Object Evolution / Alc_Mono_SDCCH_traffic_model

It will show you the amount of loc. upd. in this cell.

You can’t really do anything if people are coming in your country. Just be sure that you have enough sDCCH timeslots in this cell to carry all the required SDCCH traffic. Avoid SDCCH Congestion.

If a MS is not attached, it cannot make a call 🙁

But the people don’t use our network SIM card (it is other country), in this case how they can attach to our network? for roaming?

Yes, of course : they are all roaming to your PLMN.
