Hi, I will start working with a GSM 850 and 1900 multiband nework, and I have some questions about how the overlay/underlay should work.

    1. What is the best way to distribute the BCCH and TCH frequencyes?

    2. All BCCH and TCH shall be left only in the same band?

    3. Which are the mayor problems that can be seen in a network working like this?

    4. How does overlay/underlay works?

    5. Shall most amount of traffic be in the overlay or in the underlay?

    6. What is the approximate coverage ratio for GSM 850 and 1900?

Thanks, all you guys, your answers will be very helpful, also if you have some links where I can read about how this works.

    BR,

    Gabriela

From the given spectrum – ARFCNs, you can first select frequencies for TCH and BCCH – you will need 1 BCCH per cell. So accordingly allocate the frequencies.
