hey guys, have a problem, if MSC is using paging by LAC methodology then would it make any difference if some junk cells are present at MSC side but not present at BSC end? what difference would it make? will it effect the paging success rate, due to no paging response ??

secondly also i analyze the trace of MSC and found a strange message in the Cell Identified Discriminator “All cells of the BSC ident” what is that now?? in normal circumstances the message displayed in the Cell Identified Discriminator is “LAI used to ident cell” can anybody answer that why??

    really appreciate your inputs.

Junk CGIs wont put any impact on paging success rate.
