Info on ATM routers – traffic processing

Hi everybody,

I am looking for some information on ATM networks. I would like to know how ATM router handles a packet. I need rather detailed info on this subject – every single step beginning with the packet header being read by the router all the way until the router sends the packet the right way. If this is vendor specific – I am looking for info on Nortel Passport switches.

Does anyone have some info on this or knows where to find it ?
