    I need to design a Telephony solution for a remote community of 30 people.
    Due to Geographical constraints, I have to dedicate a specific set of lines in the switch for this community.

    I know that for large communities, the number of lines is 10-25% of the number of subscribers.

    But does that also apply to a case of only 30 subscribers ?
    In other words, how many lines should I dedicate?

    4-7 lines will be fine.

    The reply I got was 4-7 lines. Is there a reference for these numbers?

    Hi Nikky,

    use the formula below;

    No. of sub. * 0.25 E/sub =
    From the result use the Erland B table with P=GoS=0.001
    then you get the number of lines.

    let me know any problems
