    hello safar,

    from what i gathered, the call can’t be setup it the MS is located further than 10 T.A.

    Thanks dear.but are i sure because maxta and talim are for dedicated mode not for idle am i right? Plz clear if i so,e wrong here.

    the MS sends a Channel Request
    The BTS receives the Channel Request, and computes the TA
    If TA > 10, the Channel Request is discarded
    if TA < 10 : the Channel Request is processed After few attempts, the MS will try to reselect another cell.

    Hi….
    Talim is urgency algorithm:if MS cross the talim value….MS then looks for the NBrs if not found call gets dropped.

    MAXTA is disconnection algorithm:when MS cross the Maxta value it will disconnect MS from the network related services.
