GuestHello Pix
Please, I have a question.
There’s in the BTS a counter named RADIO_LINK_TimeOut which is decremented by one every non decoded SACCH and incremented by 2 every decoded SACCH.
if S reaches 0 it means there’s Radio link failure and BTS asks the BSC to release the ressource. In the other case , there is the same mechanism in the mobile .I mean a counter for radio link supervision.
My question is how the mobile increment/decrement the initial value of its counter?21st April 2008 at 14:39 #51957pix
Guestin the same way :
the SACCH in downlink is decoded by the MS –> counter +2
the SACCH in downlink is decoded by the MS –> counter -1FYI, the SACCH in downlink contains system information message, timing advance information and power control commands.
