We have aprox. 20 medical offices in different locations throughout the midsection of our state. 2 of the larger sites have Nortel CS1000’s. One is running IP only, and the older site is running a mix is analog, digital and ip phones.
We have one site that contains only business/support staff, ie:accounts receivable and IT. This site has a Cisco Call Manager.
The rest of our sites are smaller and have a hodge-podge of systems, ranging from an old avaya definity to norstar, to 3 different flavors of centrex, with a couple of comdial’s and an executone thrown in just for fun.
Our goal is to bring the smaller sites all on one system and implement 5 digit dialing between all sites.
Our dilema is Cisco or Nortel? Our network staff favor Cisco, but I have found Nortel to be the more stable of the 2.
I would love to hear from anyone who has experience with both. Has anyone deployed one and then later took it out in favor of the other?
Any feed back would be appreciated.
