dear all,
i have a problem with my alcatel bts, that one sector is having high call drop rate.
the sector is checked RF wise, it is ok.hardware changed but no improvement.
what else to do
tell me at vineetpandey2004@yahoo.com
Check historical alarm on BTS find TRE or ANCD alarm if no alarm on Hardware
Identify problem drop type (BSS INT drop,RTC Drop)
check TCUC that related RSL on this sector operate normal or not.
finally check counter on MC739(drop RTC per TRX) try to lock the TRE that relate and wait next hours for check counter again.
Good lock

Yes, Vineet, you could at least tell us the “cause” of the CALL DROP RATE. The indicator “CDR” is divided into 5 categories :
– RADIO
– HO
– BSS INTERNAL
– REMOTE TC
– PREEMPTION
And as NarChai said, you must also check the CDR per TRX, that will ease your diagnosis. And not only the CDR, but also the amount of call attempts, and the average TCH mean holding time.
