We are pleased to announce that we have just launched version 3 of our voice network design software tool. Westplan is a voice network design software tool that can help you work out the most appropriate networking strategy for your business by allowing you to compare different network layouts between your networked locations.
Westplan was first launched in 1996. Version 3 now adds the following features:
- Support for Voice over IP inter-nodal links. Layer 2 protocols include PPP, Ethernet, Frame Relay and ATM. Includes a wide range of CODECs and support for RTP compression
- User-definable routing rules, which allow you to determine how calls between each network location should be routed
- Full exportable justification notes for each calculation
- Increased traffic limits
- Much faster calculations; hours of calculations in version 2 now take a few seconds

Westplan was the first product we launched. Since 1996, we have continue to refine Westplan, and have brought the software up to date again with version 3 to support the requirements of those of you designing for network convergence technologies. If you design networks solely using circuit switched links, then you will also find Westplan 3 offers vast improvements in performance and flexibility over version 2.
Westplan has always been our flagship product, and we are committed to continuously develop it as an affordable, easy to use and effective application for network design.
