Hi engineers,
I have the following problem:
as tch traffic increases, the drop increases !
I thought there is some TRU/TS not working well and as the traffic increases, the bad TS will be assigned a call and hence the drops come.
I made a drive test, more than 80% of the TS’s are fine.
Note: the sector is layer3 while the neighbours are layer2.
let us ahare the pronlem 🙂
bad TS in TRU can be a problem as you mentioned; also i would suggest that you look at reasons for TCH drops through counters; if extra traffic is being picked from large TA values or from poor coverage area in the cell for instance, then TCH drop will increase accordingly; dont assume increase in traffic means uniform distribution of traffic in the cell
