A and Abis traffic relationship

Hello:

Im working with a Nokia BSS system, I can check the traffic in erlangs generated by each cell connected to the BSC and I wonder if I can use this info in dimensioning, is it correct to sum all this traffic and with the result try to calculate the number of channels I`m using in the A interfase ?
What considerations should I take? How the blocking probability affect this calculations?
