    hi to all, i am new to this discussion i am working on nokia bts. can any one tell me about signal flow in the component of nokia bts

    Hi Anil ,

    I m Ajay i m also planning for NOKIA BTS.

    Nokia has two types of BTS metro and Ultra
    in tht metro has capacity of 2+2
    and Ultra has 4+4+4 no indicated TRX we can used/////

    Metro has Trx power 10w and ultra has 20w

    Means Ultra sites can cover more area than Metro//

    Nokia BTS components:

    GCLK for synchronization
    TRX
    MP
    Combiners if we need than

    Thts it

    Well regarding your Question
    the signal comes to our transmission Equipment then it goes to BOI card where the DSP process takes place

    after that the BB2X send the signal to the TRX part, where the trx unit filters it , raises it freq. and amplify it

    then it goes to combiner and the n after that to duplexer unit
    after that it travels to antenna

    all this happen in downlink i hope this get some clear pic in ur mind

    Well Anil. your querry on PCM is better covered in the statement below. PCMs are phase change materials that melts like ice and solidify like water maintaining a constant temperature. In BTS the air-condition is set at say 20C. when the power is off, the temperature starts rising, making it very hot like 50C or more. The PCM will melt at 25C or 29C depending upon the target set and maintain the BTS temperature. There is a chapter on BTS on the website of pcmenergy.com. PCMs probably have no other use in BTS.

    i have H1 bts at a site and i have taken E1 through modem,when i check loop break at bsc port i got it,and also i got loop break at bts port, still when i connect bts port to bsc port i get break.what could be the reason?

    how even is transffered from msc to bsc ,bsc to bts?
    is we connect one bts to 2 or three bsc if one siteis down then other is get even by default?iam confuse about it please give me the answer.
