    Hi kate
The max. SMS load for Nokia 3i series is
    1 request/subscriber/1 hour
Now the number of subscribers can be calculated m.Erlang/sub. .suppose it is 12.0 m.Erlang/sub.Now see the Erlang capacity of BSC .suppose it is 1200 Erlang. Now divide the Erlang capacity of BSC with milli erlang/sub.This will give no. of subscibers. in our case it is 100000.So answer is 100000 requests/ 1 Hour.
    Hope i solved your query.

    Hello:

Please yould you help me? I would like to know what logical channels are used for SMS transference between the BS and the mobile? What would be the difference when the mobile is busy or idle?

    Thanks and regards

    Hi Miguel!

When no TCH is allocated for the MS (idle) then the SDCCH channel will be used for the SMS transfer.
Whenever a TCH and associated SACCH are assigned to the MS (busy) then the SACCH will be used for the SMS.

    Best regards!
