    Hi,
In a case of connectivity from carrier switch to a Sun server with SS7 capability, the loop back from the switch to the cable with RJ45 jack to the Sun server is OK, but as soon as the jack is plugged into the female connector on the SS7 board, the E1 goes down. Rx Tx pairs changed at DDF, but still no change in status. The Layer 2 is itself not coming up, though the loop back is OK. Please suggest

    Hi, Sameer!
Do the carrier switch have alarm? how?
In which time slot do the your E1 contain SS7 information? Did you assign the same TS on bothside?

    Rgds
