Another one on roaming. For international roaming, can anyone give details of charging agreements between the operators?
For example, if a subscriber from country A goes to country B & recieves a call from country B, there are two international legs involved. One from B to A (typically charged to the calling party) and one from A to B (charged to called number, international roamer in this case).
From my understanding, the charges levied on the roamer are not merely the actualy usage of airtime & international call charges. There are many other service charges that are levied. I wanted to know what portion of these surcharges goes to the country A operator(HPLMN) & what portion goes to Country B operator(VPLMN). I know that this is specific to the roaming agreement. Still an approximate distribution would be very helpful.
TIA
