no no, the logic is good, but it’s the other way around. The MS still transmits with the same max power, whatever the frequency.
It’s just that for the same TX power, the UL RXLEV will be stronger if the frequency is lower.
Therefore, if power control is activated, the MS might require less TX power in order to provide the same UL RXLEV.
Anyway, it seems we all agree on the reasons why they chose UL with lower frequencies 🙂
