If you want to join GSM telecom opeator, then the first thing you shud know is the GSM Network Archiecture and the basic communication principles.
After that it is lots actually and later it depends on you. If you want to go in RF side (RF Fundamentals) , Switch side (SS7) or other fields (IP et al).
