Switching on the EDGE requires traffic dimmensionning of your Air interface, your Abis interface and your Ater interface, along with checking that your BTS are using an EDGE-compatible hardware (GPRS hardware is not always EDGE-ready).
So it is a big task, and you’d rather contact your equipment vendor so they can guide you through it. Operators usually hire consultants when they want to switch on the EDGE…
