thanks n regrds

can anybody let me know wat is 1*1, 1*2… in frequency planning of mobile n/w.
thanks2nd February 2006 at 19:41 #44025sdcchGuest
hello TUFAIL AHMAD,
i think it means concept of frequency planing in case of frequency hopping, for example 1×1 means that on every cells in area there is one set of frequencies (MA) on TCH DRXs. Of course,BCCH layer is ‘clear’.3rd February 2006 at 06:07 #44026tufailGuest
thanx sdcch for ur reply
can u tell me how many frequecies i need for 444 site for SFH using 1×1 tech.
and also can u let me know abt wat is 1×2 in SFH.
thanx n regards

You don’t have to care about the number of sites/sectors but for the number of TRX’s per sector.
Then you choose 1×3 or 1×1. 1×2 sounds strange although we use it in the micro layer.4th February 2006 at 13:42 #44028joodGuest
Generally the best # of freq (hopping set) to encounter any fading & average them over sufficient BW is 15 freq.
— Cuz 15 freq = 200 kHz x 15 = (3 MHz).
3 MHz is bigger than the coherence fading of outdoor & in car environment.
But it’s not sufficient for indoor environment. Its it???.4th February 2006 at 18:26 #44029TUFAIL AHMADGuest
thanks guys for ur help.
i was thinking tht
1×3 is one MA list for one sector n hence 3 for 3 sectors.
regarding no. of frequecies
i was thinking of it is % of channel occupancy tht need to be6th February 2006 at 14:52 #44030yrrahGuest
you are limited to a number of frequencies not to go under by the Frequency Load (FL).
the FL is computed as follows:
[(Nb of hopping TRX)/(Nb of frequencies in the hopping list)]*[Traffic/(Nb of voice available TCH)].
The thresolds are the following:
FL < 30% for 1*3 reuse pattern FL < 8% for 1*1 reuse pattern. In a previous message, you talk about ad hoc. Do you ahve any info about that, because i'm now facing problems with my network and i heard it could help a lot. Regards6th February 2006 at 17:20 #44031TUFAIL AHMADGuest
tthis is a valuable information for your part.
can you tell me how it is impklemented on Nokia systems.
can you tell me more about this system, if you hav got material that can provide me with better knowledge abot this issu.
My email ID is Tufial@gmail.com, can i hav ur email ID.
YRRAH i am really sorry about Ad Hoc i really dont know anthing abt that.
i 2 was searching for ad hoc but no one talked abt that.
thanx n regards
