Sorry you I passed the wrong info:

BS_TXPWR_MAX= 0(full transmit, no att.)

BS_TXPWR_MAX_INNER= 09full transmit, no att.)

MS_TXPWR_MAX= 30dBm..full transmit

MS_TXPWR_MAX_INNER= 30dBm..full transmmit


Zone_HO_HYST_DL/UL = 6dBm

2Tres in outer zone, four TRXs in inner zone with additional ANy Combiner attenuation of 3dB.

what is the value of :
ZONE HO HYST DL
and
ZONE HO HYST UL
?

now some analysis :

BS_TXPWR_MAX= -30dB
and
BS_TXPWR_MAX_INNER= -30dB
is CRAZY !!!!
Are you really putting an attenuation of 30dB to your BTS ? Then there is almost no coverage at all.
This value should be 0dB.

Then....
MS_TXPWR_MAX= -30dBm
MS_TXPWR_MAX_INNER= -30dBm
that should be a positive value, such as +30dBm (in 1800MHz cell) or 33dBm (in 900Mhz cell)

Cell is located in dense urban area with good network coverage. Pls see my current settings below and advise,

BS_TXPWR_MAX= -30dB

BS_TXPWR_MAX_INNER= -30dB

MS_TXPWR_MAX= -30dBm

MS_TXPWR_MAX_INNER= -30dBm

RxLev_UL_Zone = -95dBm

RxLev_DL_Zone = -92dBm

En_Load_Outer = Enable

En_Load_Balance = Disable

En-BetterZone_HO = Enable

T_HCP = 10

Ping Pong HCP = 15secs

Cell Type = Concentric.

Are you using monoband cc cell, or multiband cc cell ? (cc = concentric)

if monoband, then use

ZONE HO HYST DL = 6dBm
ZONE HO HYST UL = 3dBm
MS_TXPOWER_MAX_INNER = 33dBm - the trx attenuation in the inner zone (ie. if attenuation = 10dB, then mstxpowermaxinner = 23dBm)

The parameter neighbour Rxlev(o,n) is very very very useless, keep it at a default -47dBm for all neighbours. I don't think it is worth explaining it in details...

If you increase it towards a certain neighbour, you're going to reduce the number of HO from inner zone to that neighbour.

Please share your current settings.

Hello Pix, I recently modified an existing single cell to concentric cell and traffic reduced, Level HO rate increased...Pls who can explain the reason.
Also, what is this parameter "neighbour Rxlev(o,n)" used for and how is it tuned for concentric cells?

yes, after UTRAN command, and the HO access burst is sent, no synch occurs from the 2G side. I've chkd BSIC and BCCH, LAC, ID. all seems ok. Can I reset the RNC to align the clocks.

1. 2G to 3G HANDOVER is possible, we need to activate license (during dedicated mode), if on packet date, we called cell reselection.


2. 3G to 2G HANDOVER when fail, check 2G side, same BSIC, 2G blocking
