Hello;
I am new to this. We are implemeting FoIP. We have calls comming on an E1. Can we use the DID for both voice and fax calls. If it is a fax call it will be routed to the fax server and if it is voice call it will be routed to the call manager. Or maybe the call manager can handle this.

Well, there are 2 issues to this. The first is the gateway that receives the call from E1, can it make the distinction between the 2 and reroute based on that (doubtful) and I know Quintum cannot do this, but the 2nd point is the one that matters, when the call comes in from E1 it is not noted as fax or voice. You never know if it is a fax call or voice call till it connects to the other end and the gateway hears the fax tones.
