Our company plans to purchase some IP Network Analyzer and I was task to do some research and product evaluations. Though, I have already initiated contacts to some of our target vendors, I’d like to seek help on our experts here to provide some views on what would be a good criteria in making the selection…

A basic info on us, we are currently building our MPLS network and are gearing to be both a PE and CE.

Hi,

first I would suggest you to take a closer look at Ethereal. It is an open source, free of charge Network Analyzer. And believe me – it is much more than “good”. Check it, test it in many aspects, read the docs. Then write a list of what you miss at it. Use then this list to find your product.

From the commercial vendors, I would suggest you to look at Agylent.
