did you check to see if you have the default gateway and subnet mask set correctly? Also, did you check to make sure that managementaccess is set to 1 to enable telnet and ftp? This setting can be found in the ethernet interface (ei sl1dv1ei1).

I have checked many times to see if I have the default gateway and subnet mask set correctly. I have a default gateway address of say 90.72.18.9 with subnet 255.255.255.248, the computer have 90.72.18.10 same subnet mask and the tenor 90.72.18.11 same subnet mask. And the managementaccess is enabled. “ManagementAccess : 1 Access Enabled; Defa”.
I also have undrer the staticiproutedirector.
    index 1 Destination NetMask 0.0.0.0 Gateway 90.72.18.9 EIAttached EI-SL1DV1EI1 Metric 1

    What could be the problem??
    Please help

    Saad,

try going to the basics. If you have a hub or switch there, try just putting the tenor on it with your PC using private IP addresses and see if you can connect that way. Another test is to connect your PC directly to the ethernet port of the Tenor using a ethernet cross-over cable and see if you can talk to the tenor then.

Thanks, it did work after all. I don’t know what i did different, but I just change the addresses into private and it did work. Even when I change back to public addresses it’s working!
