My voice over IP service is very poor. Whenever I’m talking to someone they tell me that my voice breaks up and starts to sound very robotic.

I’ve had it looked at by my service provider and they say it’s my phone lines, but they’re only 13 years old.

Any help is greatly appreciated. And if this is the wrong place for such a question could someone point me in the correct direction. Thank You!

Kevin, you need to have minimum 64k dedicated to use a single voip line to get a good sound quality. no matter what the codec is.If you are doing voip at dialup then forget about having a reliable and continous voice…there must be some breakage at dialup….so it depends what internet connection you have and the bandwidth…
