voiceline over shaw

    Does anyone here have experience using Net2phone’s voiceline via shaw (Canadian cable company)? I tried so hard to get it work, but always get IP 0.0.0.0 and no account information. Shaw says it is the problem of the device and Net2phone says it is the problem of shaw. I am so frustrated.

    Any suggestions is welcome.

    I am a canadian ITSP and have customers using DSL via Telus and Cable via shaw and have had no problems at all. Are you having this problem with other carriers as well?

    Thanks, Gary. Do you know people using Shaw and Net2phone?

    The problem hasn’t been solved. Right now, i am using a workaround—get an IP address using my PC and then configue the adaptor as using static IP—but it is really troublesome, aso you can see, I have to change IP manually for the adaptor everytime.

    The telephone adaptor can get an IP address when I plug it in a University network, but it can’t when I connect it with Shaw Modem, both are using DHCP. But Shaw representives say that since my computer can get an IP, it is not their problem.
