FXO Disconnect on cisco 2600

hi can somone help me i have a cisco 2600 with a vic-2fxo-m2 connected to the UK phone company (BT) can i use ground start to avoide the disconnect problem or must i use local loop i have read the file on fxo disconnection at http://www.cisco.com/warp/public/788/signalling/fxo_disconnect.html but i dont uderstand it can somone tell me the command i need to avoid the disconnection problem
