    Jonas,

Were you able to resolve the DTMF issue? I ask, because I am having same problem – Tenor DX 2024 to Nortel IP PBX w/ Succession 3 – no dial tone. Have tried E & M and Immediate with Wink – going to try loop start next —- Can you shed some light?

    Thanks

    Jonas,

When dealing with E&M, there is no dial tone as such. By setting the start dial (outgoing and incoming) to wink start, you are telling the Tenor that it will send or receive a wink for digit dialing. For example, if the Tenor is to dial out of the E1, it will go “off-hook” on an E1 channel and will wait for the switch on the E1 to send a wink to it. Once the Tenor recieves the wink it will dial the digits. If no wink is received in the standard time, then the call will fail.
