    hello

    we have a tenor a800 on a LAN with a Linksys (BEFSR41 V3)

    tenor is on the linksys DMZ zone

    but we have a proplem with the Radius server, the Radis server is not on side the LAN, its on the Internet, when we make a call and enter the card number the Radius server send a “REJECT RESPONSE” even if the card number is correct.

    on the Radius logs we found this:

    NAS-IP-Address = ‘192.168.2.80’
    NAS-Port-Type = ‘Async’
    User-Name = ‘1234567891’
    h323-conf-id = ‘34303764 3933376431003930 006100FF’
    Radius-Shared-Secret = ‘remalit’
    Password = ‘1234567891’
    h323-ivr-out = ‘ACCESSCODE:’

    as you can see the IP address is “192.168.2.80” which is the internel IP , tenor did not use the “extip” i defined on “config>uni>1”

    Unit: 1
    IP Address = 192.168.2.80
    External IP Address = 62.14.8.76
    Name = shehab-a800

    Online = 1
    Relay ResetTime = 240
    Relay Reset Number = 2

    TcpKeepAlive = Disabled(0)

    can some one help with this

    thanks

    There are two parameters for the gateway config in PortaBilling: NAS-IP-Address and Radius Source IP, make sure you set up them accordingly.

    P.S. Why don’t you contact Porta support directly? – their support is really fast and professional

    The “extip” field will not help you on this scenario.
    According to Quintum description, this field is used to modify the H323 packets sent out, to “fake out” the I.P. of the gateway.

    The billing system does not talk H323, only TCPIP.

    The “extip” will only matter when you are passing H323 packets betwen two H323 gateways.

    And even then, most people could not make it work properly.

    Every gateway that I have seen with NAT , have the billing also in a internal I.P. address.

    Good luck!!!!
