I don’t think the Quintum is capable of that. You will need a channel bank capable of Voice Activity Detection (VAD). Try the Pleiades unit.

And then, even with VAD, if the calling party is talking while calling it recognizes it as voice.

I have a similar problem. The calling party gets billed by my billing system while the called party did not answer. I use a tenor A800 gateway with pre-paid cards. Any ideas?
