We recently got a pair of IP phones to play around with.
The documentation is very poor and we don’t know anything about VoIP.
My first question is: If we have 2 IP phones plugged into the same LAN, should we be able to call between them without a gatekeeper?
Second question: Our phones are “Netphone KE1020A/KE1021A” Where can we got more information on these phones?
I am new to voip also, but in my research, I have seen documentation that says you can call directly between 2 ip phones w/out a gateway by just dialing the other phone’s ip address. I have also been able to do this using asterisk.org open source pbx system.
