I cannot see a technical reason why this is not possible, but cannot see any software to help me.
We have an office and a factory. There is a single POTS telephone line coming into the office. I would like to share this using VoIP phones. Here’s what I’m trying to do:
PSTN laptop voice modem software gateway SIP Server IP Phones
Using a setup such as aboce it should be possible to route calls from the PSTN to the IP network, have the IP phones ring when there is a PSTN call etc.
I cannot find a single piece of software to do this. Could someone please tell me 1) is this possible (I can see no technical reason why not) and 2) where can I find such a beast.
Actually, even the old “voice” modem I have that supports voice better than the newer modems is still half duplex. Where would you put the Push to talk button?
