Does anyone know whether the Quintum CMS should support fax transmission using T.38? A quick trace of calls suggests that it does not, or at least not in the same way as Cisco 53xx.

The CMS seems to send the caller some non standard data in a facility message (#6 #1 #1), where as Ciscos send a H.245 Request Mode message, which is what I would expect for T.38 compatibility.

Any ideas please?

You should setup CMS to use T.38 fax protocol instead of Quintum proprietary one.

Go to config mode, then to Fax Profile group.
