    Hi,

I want to request some information.
What is the difference between gatekeeper and softswitch.
Can vocaltech gatekeeper work as softswitch. and does normally softswitch include billing or you still need billing seperatly.

i m think to get MERA CALLING CARD PROCESSING SOFTWARE, does that mean that i need gatekeeper seperatly or it will work as gk also.

    Thanks for your help.

    regards

gatekeeper allows devices to register with them, allowing beter interaction of devices behind a firewall. softswitch does call routing, CDR generation, and proxy of calls ( h323 to sip conversion and vice versa ). if you want to see what a good softswitch does or is capable of, go to http://www.qtelnet.com and check out theirs. that will help you out. If you decide you want that one.. ( it works great, I’m using it right now ) contact peter. tell him that you need the free 2 port version.

    good luck!

    Gary.

I may be wrong, but I do not see a softswitch anywhere on their page.

Are you sure about the link????
