We are using an iEnsemble box for origination pusposes. But the problem is that every customer demands to have answer supervision on our gateway and the iEnsemble’s don’t come with Answer Supervision. iE has very limited Answering supervision. Foe each call you should wait up to 5-6 sec, before iE detect that yhere are no Ring tone any more (if someone answer to call).
Flash Horizon/Vive offers some Dialers/LCR whic can detect Voice, so you should order Dialer for each FXS port and connect it to iE. So iE should send call to Dialesr and dialer will detect voice and this will make aceptable accuracy for CDR. Dialer should dent Reverse polarity as status when call is answered.
In IP script do not use Answer Connect.
    use xdefault answerconnect ON

    Hello,
I suffered too much on making iE recognize the call status. Only busy tone could be detected properely and quickly. Other tones could be detected…but very-very hard and very late (5-6 seconds).. Also there is another problem: The caller won’t hear any sound before the billing goes…the speach (as well as the ring tones) are heard only after the billing is started…
So you can’t rely on its built-in answer supervision…that would be just a waste of time..

iE has these dificulties wirh Answering supervision, so is not perfect solution for receiving VoIP traffic. If you like to sent VoIP calls, for this scenario iE is quite good solution, especialy if calls going to Cisco or other iE.
CDRs are accurate and quality is good as with any other vendor.

Recommendation: DO not use it for receiving Traffic
