Cisco To Quintum

    I have three A800 which r reciveing calls from Cisco. But call duration is less then 10 sec. I am using codec G723.1 @6.3 and VIF Size=384. Also call connecting rate is low. Any one plz help me in this regards. Thanks- msibeg@hotmail.com

    You need to ask Cisco to send you calls in e.164 format , but in real e.164 and only in e.164.
    That will solve problem

    Hi Ivan,
    Should I chage my codec to G729, call is connecting but connection rate is low and disconnection rate is high. Thaks for reply.

    I am using g.723.1 and do not have such problem.
    CODEC is not reason for this problem.
    You must know or Cisco must know which CODEC they should use
    g.723.1ar
    g.729br8
    or….
    What exactly is “disconnection rate is high”.???
    Do you have low traffic from your Cisco partner or what is it?

    Does the Cisco sending in e.164 format (H.323 does specify the difference between a public and a private number)
